White-eye species (perhaps Japanese White-eye (Loriculus galgulus)). Several species of these small (11cm long) birds occur through much of Asia . They travel in flocks often with other bird species through the canopy feeding on small fruits, insects and nectar from flowers. They are active twittering high energy birds owing their name to their bold white eye-ring The Japanese White-eye has also been introduced to, and now occurs throughout the Hawaiian Islands--seldom is an escape/ introduced species a good thing.

Nicobar Pigeon (Caloenas nicobaricus) is found on predator free Islands such as the Nicobars, the Andamans, throughout Indonesia, the Philippines, New Guinea and N Melanesia. This is a bird of dark shady forest floor. Note the white tail and how short it is. Also known as the Hackled Pigeon. This is a large pigeon at 40cm in length. The individual above seems to be in molt.
